Twee Gebroeders (Two Brethren), ship moored in Wolwevershaven, Dordrecht, The Netherlands. Black & White with selective colors. This is usually a spot which is pretty crowded with ships. I was lucky to find just this ship by its own. It's an old cargo sailing ship. Also of note are the wooden Side Swords (on each side) for stability.

Typical Dutch scene: windmills. These are 5 of the 19 windmills you can find in Kinderdijk. They still stand where they were build and are actually funcioning and inhabited windmills. Kinderdijk is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Typical Dutch scene: a bicycle parked at a gracht (canal) in Amsterdam. The city has more bicycles than residents! The red bicycle caught my eye because of the color. I decided to highlight the red and make everything else black and white so it would stand out.

City Hall of Gouda in the Netherlands. This was originally build in the 15th century in a gothic style, it is one of the oldest city halls in the Netherlands. For a more dramatic picture, I decided to make everything black and white and highlight the red of the shutters so it would stand out.

Isak Heartstone in Breckenridge, Colorado. One of only 2 sculptures in Colorado by Danish artist Thomas Dambo who used reclaimed wood pallets, other recycled material, and a heart-shaped stone. Three local girls brought Dambo the actual heart-shaped rock, which gave the troll his name. Isak is number 38 in a worldwide series of giant trolls.
